Located in the Osmangazi district of Bursa, the Panorama 1326 Bursa Conquest Museum is a massive cultural complex that brings April 6, 1326—the day the city was conquered by the Ottomans—to the present in all its glory. Holding the title of the world’s largest full panoramic museum with its 42-meter diameter dome structure, the building is a must-visit stop on Bursa trips thanks to its green building concept, impressive architecture, and rich exhibition areas.
Located on the top floor of the museum, the 360-degree panoramic dome offers visitors a 3D-depth experience of 1326 Bursa and vivid scenes of the conquest. Enhanced with captivating sound and light effects, this area lets you truly feel the atmosphere of the era.
In the exhibition areas lining the path leading up to the dome, dozens of special oil paintings and historical reenactments depict the history of the Ottoman Empire from a principality to a global empire, highlighting key battles and sultans.
The museum hosts periodic handicraft exhibitions, souvenir stands, and event spaces featuring traditional motifs. You can also enjoy a relaxing break in the inner courtyard of this architecturally striking building.
Museum Cafe: A modern cafeteria within the complex offers tea, coffee, soft drinks, and snacks.
Nearby Restaurants: Due to its central location, surrounding dining spots offer local Bursa Kebabs and pide varieties.
Take a Photo at the Center of the Dome: Stand right in the center of the 360-degree dome hall to capture panoramic photos that make you feel like you are right in the middle of the conquest.
Listen to the Guided Audio Tour: Make use of the audio guide provided at the entrance to discover historical details in the paintings.
Stop by the Gift Shop: Browse souvenirs representing Bursa and historical motifs at the shop located on the museum exit level.
Mind Monday Closures: The museum is closed on Mondays for maintenance and general cleaning; plan your visit accordingly.
Ideal for Families with Children: Thanks to its visual and interactive nature, it is an excellent destination to foster historical awareness in children while having a great time.
