Ördekli Bath Culture Center
Ottoman's 6-Century-Old Double Bath and Today's Art Stop
Located in the Haşimişcan neighborhood of Bursa’s Osmangazi district, Ördekli Bath is a magnificent double bath built in the 15th century. Serving men and women separately for centuries, the structure fell into disrepair for many years until it was revived through restoration efforts carried out by the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality. Preserving its historical fabric, the venue was converted into a culture and art center, standing today as one of Bursa’s most distinct cultural stops with its woodwork, stonework, domes, and mystical atmosphere.
Highlights & Art Areas
Historic Domes & Architecture
Featuring impressive stone and brick craftsmanship, the early Ottoman architecture of the structure is showcased through historical domes covering the cool room (soğukluk), warm room (sıcaklık), and private bathing cells (halvet). Marble basins and marble bath-stone (göbek taşı) sections inside have been preserved in accordance with their original design.
Exhibition Halls & Art Gallery
The former cool room and warm room sections now host painting, calligraphy, illumination (tezhip), and photography exhibitions. The exhibitions held beneath historical domes offer visitors a unique art experience.
Traditional Handcrafts & Ebru Workshops
The culture center hosts workshops for illumination, calligraphy, paper marbling (ebru), and traditional Turkish handicrafts. Visitors can observe artisans during their creative process as well as view seasonal exhibition displays.
Historic Courtyard & Cafe
Situated at the heart of the structure, the authentic courtyard offers a peaceful atmosphere to relax with tea or Turkish coffee among centuries-old stone walls and domes.
- Private Vehicle: Drive toward Haşimişcan / Demirtaşpaşa direction from our hotel to arrive in approximately 7–10 minutes.

- Main entrances and exhibition halls feature flat ground surfaces, making the venue suitable for wheelchair and stroller access.
- Located within a historical district, the facility does not have private parking; however, street parking spots nearby and the Demirtaşpaşa Parking Garage are available.
- Open to visitors every day of the week except Mondays between 08:30 and 21:00.
- 1–1.5 Hours (Includes exhibition tour, handicraft workshops, and a tea break in the inner courtyard).
Ördekli Hamamı Cafe: An on-site cafe operation serving tea, Turkish coffee, cold beverages, and light snacks in the authentic inner courtyard and garden.
Nearby Restaurants: Famous Bursa Kebap (Iskender), doner, and traditional local eateries are within walking distance in the Heykel and Demirtaşpaşa districts.
Don't Leave Without Doing:

Explore Visual Art Exhibitions: Browse current painting or handicraft exhibitions displayed in the main hall free of charge.
Tips:
