The DRL-B3 machine is equipped with an auxiliary internal axis that allows the three spindles to independently process the material over a 500 mm stroke without requiring the material to be repositioned (re-fed). After drilling a hole in a profile, there is no need to move the material to drill another hole on any of the axes. While the material is clamped stationary, each Spindle can move independently in three axes within this 500 mm range, allowing for simultaneous processing from three sides. This significantly reduces processing time and increases productivity.
The independent movement feature enables different operations to be performed concurrently: While one side of the flange is being processed, other operations (drilling, marking, tapping, milling, etc.) on the profile body and the opposite flange can be carried out independently at the same time.
